Streak Shadow by David Lewis
The Amazing Shadow: This British designed type has flown from England to Australia, the length of Africa and the width of Asia - so, YES, it's cross country capable!! This particular one is in VGC and is a late model, top of the range STREAK Shadow with the 70hp engine and shorter span wings which are foldable for transport or storage. Shadows have an excellent reputation and are supposedly stall proof. Engine has about 650hrs and recent Cyclone bearing test by Rotax approved mechanic showed negligible wear. Very economical burning <10L/hr at 65 knot cruise (solo) - 91 u/l. Has long range slipper tank (approx. 5hrs flying) plus optional extra 20L tank on px seat! It has dual controls, electric elevator trim and full instrumentation incl' fuel consumption gauge. Excellent visibility from glider-like canopy. . I've flown about 200 very enjoyable hours in this. Very regretful sale but hangarage issues looming and sadly deciding to give up flying. This plane offers a LOT of flying for < $10K!
